A bell chimes and an aide sticks their head into the room. “I’m sorry Dr. Caro, but we have a 2:30. Our team will reach out for the next session”

Dr. Caro closes their notebook and stands. The front cover reads: ‘The American Political Revolution. The biography of two-time US President Syme, founder of the New America Party.’

Syme shakes hands with Dr. Caro as they both stand. “Many saw what we did as too extreme. But measures that prevent catastrophe are always judged harshly by some in hindsight. We were dealt a hand that was the result of policies and systemic seeds planted and watered over the previous six decades. And while painful at first, it turned out pretty well for America.
